Selection of the Vehicle

Armouring a vehicle involves the carrying of large amount of extra weight in the vehicle. The higher the protection required the more heavy the armour.

In general SUV’s can carry  a large amount of weight and are more suitable for applicactions where protection from SLR weapons are required.

For protection against AK 47 in addition to SUV's most sedans with an engine capacity of about 2.5 liters or more are suitable.

For protection against normal burglary and assault , it will suffice if the armour can withstand hand guns, country weapons and normal shotguns. Most MUV’s can take this load as can  sedan vehicles with engine capacity exceeding about 1800cc.
